How to use a habit tracker
A habit tracker is a grid where you tick each day you do a habit. Seeing the chain of ticks is motivating and shows patterns.

Who it's for and what to know first
None — just one habit you would like to build and a pen or printer.
- Choose 1–3 small habits: ‘read 10 pages’, not ‘read more’.
- Link each to a trigger: ‘after breakfast’.
- Tick immediately after doing it.
- Completion rate = days done ÷ days in period × 100.
- Never miss twice: one missed day is normal; get back on track the next day.
Worked example 1
You walked on 21 of 30 days. Completion rate?
- 21 ÷ 30 = 0.7.
- 0.7 × 100 = 70%.
Answer: 70%
