Good to know
An undated week you can use again
Because the planner has no printed dates, one setup works for any week. Pick the week start that fits your routine and add a title only when you want one.
Landscape paper creates wider day spaces, while A5 makes a compact insert for folders and journals.
Planning your week
Getting real use out of a printed weekly planner
Why paper still works for a week
A single sheet shows all seven days at once, which is harder to see on a phone. Many people keep one on the fridge for family plans, pin one above a desk for work, or tuck one into a folder for revision timetables.
Choosing the version
- Monday start on A4: the usual UK working week, with the weekend together at the end.
- Sunday start on US Letter: matches most American calendars.
- A5: fits a ring binder or small clipboard and is handy for carrying.
- Landscape A4: gives each day a wider column, useful for timetables or meal plans.
Ways to set it up
Try writing fixed commitments first, such as school runs, shifts and clubs, then add flexible tasks around them. Use one colour per person on a family sheet so it is easy to see who needs to be where.
For revision, block out subjects in short sessions and tick them off, leaving at least one gap a day for catching up.
A few ideas
- A weekly meal plan with the shopping list on the back.
- A chore rota for children, with a sticker space for each day.
- A habit tracker for walking, reading or practising an instrument.
Printing
Print at Actual size on the paper size you chose. If you plan to write with gel pens or markers, slightly thicker paper stops ink bleeding through.
