Space word search for ages 7–9

This space word search is pitched for children aged about 7 to 9. Words such as PLANET, ORBIT and COMET run across, down and diagonally, so readers practise scanning in more than one direction without meeting backwards words yet. It works well as a calm starter, a space-topic lesson filler or a quiet activity at home.

How to use it

  1. Read the word list below the grid before you start.
