Punctuation through the years

Year 1 uses capital letters, full stops, question marks and exclamation marks. Year 2 adds commas in lists and apostrophes. Years 3 and 4 punctuate direct speech and use commas after fronted adverbials. Year 5 introduces brackets and dashes, and Year 6 covers semicolons, colons and hyphens.
